Hey Blog Buddies,
I didn't get quite as much stitching time as I would have liked this weekend (isn't that the way it goes for most of us?), but I did manage to finish the Laura J. Perin ornie that I started on our trip:
I didn't get quite as much stitching time as I would have liked this weekend (isn't that the way it goes for most of us?), but I did manage to finish the Laura J. Perin ornie that I started on our trip:
I didn't really have too much more to do on it
by the time Friday rolled around.
Three of these ornies are done now--
two more to go to make my holiday cube.
Here's a pop quiz for all you sharp-eyed stitchers out there.
I do have a little mistake on this one--
didn't even notice it until I looked at the photo.
(And I made the photo nice and large for you, too!)
It's not horrible, and I'm on the fence about
whether or not it needs to be fixed.
Can you tell where it is?
Be honest--my feelings won't be hurt.
Who knows, you may find another one that I missed!
I worked a little on Plum Street Samplers' Boris, too.
Here is where the ground shock comes in.
My LJP ornie was on 18-count canvas,
and Boris is on 36-count linen.
It was a challenge to pick him up
on the same day that I finished the ornie!
Here's where I left off...
I still have to redo the letters and everything that isn't
"the dog" because they were stitched with one strand.
This photo is more representative of the linen color.
That's it for now.
To see my fellow hermitters' progress,
Hope you had some time to stitch this past weekend.
Thanks for visiting!

I'll be damned if I can see it. I just ordered Boris, but I'm going to have to call it Stella because the dude and I think it resembles her.
I couldn't find a mistake. Not a one. I love the ornament.
I couldn't see a mistake, it's beautiful.
It is so beautiful :)

I see no mistakes! :) Boris is adorable!
Beautiful finish. I can't see the mistake.
Boris is looking wonderful too.
Ok, you have to tell us where the mistakes is! I just cannot see it..
I'm with everyone else. I can't see a mistake either!
Love Boris. He's looking brilliant:)
All right, here's the little error (I guess it IS pretty small): Look at the gold square in the middle of the design. The green thread that is touching the northwest corner of that gold square should have been white, to give a straight line to that part of the pinwheel. It's actually more visible in the first photo I took, but it's in the SW corner there. And, no, I'm not going to fix it. I'm not the perfectionist that I was 15 or so years ago!
That's a gorgeous finish - and you're probably the only one who will ever notice the mistake. Boris is great!
Love your work! I have no attempted specialty stitches like that!
He looks perfect to me! I love Boris!!
Loveyour finish!!! And Boris is coming along great!
I am new to your blog and I enjoyed looking around.
Love the flower on Boris. It reminds me of a quilt block.
The Perin piece looks wonderful and I think it is a matter of what you can live with…should you pull it out or not. I think it is very pretty.
TFS.

Hmm... i can't tell where the 'mistake' is... so I vot to just leave it. LOL!!
Even after you told where the mistake is, I still can't find it, looks perfectly lovely to me.
Boris is quite charming and I didn't find any stitching error.
Enjoy your week-end
