Today would have been our Beulah's 13th birthday.
We made the decision to end her suffering
when this blog was about a month old.
She and I collaborated on a lot of things.
She is the co-founder of this blog.
But as much as I miss having her around,
we still remain dogless.
For many reasons,
I am fine with her being our "last dog."
DH is not.
And so, the conversation continues...

Never say never. We were "dogless" for eight years, but our new best friend is just that, and an amazing animal.
I am so sorry for your loss. no matter whether it was a year ago or yesterday the pain is there. Beulah is waiting for you at the Rainbow bridge and will always be in your heart.
I know how you feel about not getting another but after enough time goes by you'll know when you are ready. Your DH is ready before you. After losing my Maggie in November 07 I was in no rush. And almost didn't get another. My brother just bugged me until I finally gave in and now have Rory. I have never regretted it. You won't either. When you are ready.
I enjoyed the photo of her biting into the snow to assist w/snow removal.
What a wonderful pet. I enjoyed meeting Beulah.
